Bird Island Lodge offers a unique blend of hospitality, relaxation and simplicity in a non-sophisticated and natural environment. 24 simple but very comfortable individual chalets nestle amongst what remains of the island’s old coconut plantation. Each has a king size bed, large shower and separate toilet, lounge corner and spacious patio overlooking the garden to the sea beyond. Each chalet will accommodate a third adult and child or two extra children.

Facilities:
no televisions in the rooms as this would detract from the natural sights and sounds around you. No air-conditioning; excellent natural ventilation and ceiling fans ensure the rooms are always kept cool. No telephones in the rooms although these are available at reception. No swimming pool; the beach offers excellent and safe swimming at all times. The main hotel building, which houses the reception, lounge, restaurant and bar, is situated a short stroll from the airstrip, where guests arrive on a single flight each day. The buffet-style restaurant serves local cuisine in an informal setting. Bird Island is one of the few places where you can see, and get close to, Great Fregate Birds in numbers. It is also a renowned breeding place for Hawksbill and Green Turtles. With a maximum of only 50 guests, this is an excellent place for peace and privacy.
