Denis island boasts 24 elegant villas each with its own sea-facing veranda and courtyard. The villas are spread amidst casuarinas and coconut trees on either side of the main house. Alongside are pathways and tracks that meander through the coconut groves into the interior of the island. All cottages are air-conditioned, 14 are beachfront, each with large bathroom, bath and twin shower, private courtyard with outside shower, spacious decked terrace, fridge, iron, hairdryer, tea/coffee making facilities. One beachfront executive/honeymoon villa and one family villa with 2 bedrooms.
Facilities:
restaurant, bar, snorkelling equipment, PADI dive centre, windsurfing, canoeing, sailing, game fishing, bottom fishing, billiards, table tennis, darts, board games, sun beds, boutique, library, TV/video room, babysitting, laundry service, jogging trail, entertainment twice a week and excursions. Explore the island and see the small village housing the staff of the resort. The island farm grows fresh vegetables and rears pigs, cattle and chickens to ensure fresh produce is available for the highly acclaimed restaurant. An ancient lighthouse built in 1910, a redundant copra mill and the St Davids Chapel are all easily accessible via the meandering sand paths and palm-fringed pathways.
Diving/Fishing:
affiliated to the lodge is a small professional dive centre that provides a range of dive excursions for beginners and advanced divers alike. The waters of Denis are renowned for their abundance of game fish with year- round fishing available.
