Frégate Island
East Inner Islands Group

The second largest of the private granite island resorts, some 35 miles north east of Mahé accommodating a maximum of 40 guests. The island is reached by a 15 minute flight by Air Seychelles or by Helicopter. It is about 1? miles long and just under 1 mile wide.

One of the most interesting of the islands with its variety of endemic and foreign trees and plants, birds and wildlife. There is a bamboo grove and a large example of the extraordinary banyan tree which spreads itself by dropping rooting branches down to the ground. The birds include the very rare Magpie Robin and the Seychelles Blue Pigeon. There are about 100 giant tortoises roaming wild. It is small enough to concentrate the wild life, yet large enough to contain them and offer good walks through the forest and over the granite hills. The island is very fertile and has always grown its own vegetables and fruit, which include limes, guavas, paw paws, mangoes and cashew nuts growing wild. There is a an excellent choice of beaches including one of the most beautiful in the Seychelles – Anse Victorin.

Suffice it to say, this island has everything you might dream of for an exclusive, tropical island holiday.
