TRAVEL IN THE SEYCHELLES

By traditional means and modern, travel in the Seychelles is easy. It is available by scheduled domestic flights, fast catamaran, traditional ferries and helicopter.

From Mahé, Praslin is served by a frequent domestic service of Air Seychelles (15 minutes), fast catamaran (1 hour) or by schooner. The outlying islands have either scheduled flights or flights chartered by the hotels. La Digue is reached either by ferry from Praslin (half an hour) or directly from Mahé by schooner (2.5 hours).

Helicopter Seychelles operate a shuttle service to Praslin and all inner islands that are not served by Air Seychelles. This is the easiest way to get to La Digue, particularly after a tiring overnight flight and with the added bonus of an aerial view of your destination. Helicopter Seychelles also operate a full charter service and sight-seeing flights around the main islands.

The closer exclusive island resorts such as those on Anonyme and Cerf operate their own taxi/transfer boats offering easy access to Mahé. The others within the Inner Island group charter a helicopter, with the exception of Bird and Denis which are served by Air Seychelles domestic flights.
